Exploring Tokyo

As our days are dwindling, the miles on our feet (and blisters on Kevin’s) are growing and we are slowing down. Plus two breaks at the hotel for air-conditioning.

We started our day with a little wandering around Asakusa area with an old friend we met in Paris about seven years ago who now lives in Tokyo — if you know, you know 🙂
After a wardrobe change (holy sweat), we found our second Lego store so the passport is stamped again. We also so randomly ran into the Under 18 Wales Football team as we were headed back to the metro. So wild.

Lunch back at the hotel — rice balls obviously.
And off to do some shopping. We aren’t big souvenir shoppers, but we are right by a really large outdoor center with food and shops. Kevin decided he needed Baked Sweet Potato Ice Cream. Does it taste like ice cream? Negative. Does it taste like cooked sweet potatoes? Yes – chunky texture and all. #notafan
Of course, we had to wander into the Hello Kitty store on the way to dinner. Another Tonkatsu restaurant — so good.
Back to the hotel for a rooftop rest and early to bed. The early morning has caught up to us.
