With a 3am wake up, brief stop in San Fran (chilling in the lounge like adults — ordering hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies obviously) and then to the second longest flight we’ve taken coming in at 11 hours, we finally made it to Japan. It’s cooler than expected — only 89 degrees.
The language barrier is fierce in Asia with us not knowing the words and also not knowing how to interpret the written characters. But we made it onto two trains and to Kyoto for our first leg.
They fed us three times on the plane and our brain doesn’t even know what time it is right now, so now just a quick stop at a convenient store for a snack and to check in to our hotel. We will be up for 25/26 hours by the time we end our day. Fortunately tomorrow is a chill day, so we will be able to sleep however long our brain will let us and then we head out to explore.
